This traditional 16th century inn is situated in the heart of beautiful Avening Village surrounded by the legendary Cotswold countryside and the breathtaking Gloucestershire hills and valleys and walks along the Cotswold Way.

A warm and friendly atmosphere, coupled with a reputation for serving great food and wines, and local real ales - ideal for long, lazy lunchtimes or for the winter months, a roaring open fire to sit and chat around.

Glyn and Claire together with their two children Jade & Jordan have lived in the local area for over eight years, Glyn originally relocated to Stroud after working in some of the top restaurants in Manchester and London.

Glyn has 20 years experience of working in restaurants, including the Malmaison, Mash and Air and more recently as the Head Chef at the Hatton Court group of hotels and bars.
